Nasi Goreng Home Chef Kit Recipe

I'm excited for you to try my special Nasi Goreng - It's quick to cook and very tasty.

Follow each step to create a delicious meal for your family 

JUST ADD

• 400g of sliced chicken or prawns (or 200g of each)
• 200g of diced vegetables
• 1 fresh chilli (optional)
• 2 eggs
• 2 tbsp of cooking oil

STEP 1 - TIME TO GET BUSY

  • Start by whisking 2 eggs in a bowl, cook in a pan (like making scrambled eggs without milk) and set aside.
  • Open top of microwave RICE PACK and heat in microwave on high for 60 seconds.
  • In a separate pan, heat the 2 tbsp of cooking oil, add 400g of sliced chicken/prawn.
  • Cook for 2 to 3 mins on a medium to high heat or until cooked through.
  • In the same pan, add 200g of diced vegetables and cook for 2mins, then add cooked rice and eggs and stir to mix well.  

STEP 2 - BRINGING IT ALL TOGETHER

  • Add my SPECIAL CURRY PASTE to the meat, vegetables, rice and eggs and stir to mix through.
  • Turn up the heat to high and cook for 1 min stirring continuously.

STEP 3 - SERVE AND GARNISH

  • Remove from heat, serve into bowls and garnish with FRIED SHALLOT.

SASHI'S HELPFUL TIPS

  • Reduce the cooking time for this dish by thinly slicing the chicken and using finely diced vegetables.
  • Traditionally this dish is also served with a fried egg - sunny side up!
  • You can use chicken, prawns or both for this dish - or you can just use vegetables.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh chilli or chilli flakes for extra bite!
